When I visit a restaurant, be it a trendy high priced spread or a mom-and-pop ethnic restaurant, all I want is my money's worth. I expect the food not only to be good, but properly prepared with prices in line with the decor. Efficient and congenial staff that has an end goal of customer loyalty is a must.
I understand all too well that finding good help is not easy, but a successful business owner knows how to develop staff and most important, how to keep their best staff on board.
Quality Restaurant Facts
One trend I have found throughout my career is that restaurants operated by the owner or where the owner frequently visits, are likely to do better than a restaurant run by a manager only. No one is going to take care of their business like that of the owner.
When I visit your restaurant, I do it quietly and only when I'm about to leave, do I drop my card announcing that I have been critiquing the service. If you have our card, then it is only a matter of time before your review appears.
