Rafferty’s Muskegon

I recently visited Rafferty’s for the Texas hold’em and although the game was great, the service was awful! We sat in the bar section to have a few drinks and unwind (the bar was empty) when the waitress informed us (very rude) that we should be sitting at the bar, not the table and that the little round tables with comfortable chairs overlooking the lake were for dinning customers. The area was empty and it was long passed dinner time; the seats were nice, but not that nice!

Although we didn’t have food, I can point you to some people that did and report very bad service. I simply did a search on Google and grabbed the first reviews that came up, both just happened to be bad!

These two reviews are by different people who have both visited Rafferty’s in Muskegon and both gave the restaurant very bad reviews, visit here to see the reviews.

I had the worst burger ever. Terrible service on top of a grey tasteless burger that was all grimy in the middle was gross. When I asked for a new one she said that was the best the cook could do, better fire that cook.

We had one of the worst restaurant experiences ever at Rafferty’s. My wife chose Rafferty’s for her 30th birthday party. Bringing in a group of 12 for lobster, we were seated right away and had a drink while we looked over the menu. The waiter informed us that they were out of fountain pop. All of the fountain pop?! This was not a huge issue as most of us drank beer or wine anyway. We placed our appetizer, drink and dinner order.

The drinks came out right away. The problem started when 30 minutes passed and still no appetizer or drink refills. We grabbed the first person that passed and inquired about our order. They returned with shockingly bad news. The waiter, fed up with Rafferty’s as well, had walked out between filling our drink and appetizer order. Thats right, quit on the spot without any notice. The manager came out shortly after we were informed and comped the entire meal. Good thing because the meal that did finally arrive was so-so at best.

Needless to say, we have never been back. Such a shame too, the place has real potential. Maybe the owner should contact Gordon Ramsey because this is a true Kitchen Nightmare.

Although I loved playing the Texas Holdem at Raferty’s, I didnt like the service. I asked for beer and took them 20 mins to bring it.
